burswood does it better

Victor organised a Chinese New Year outreach yesterday at Burswood Park to coincide with the Pasar Malam (night market) and fireworks display that Burswood had organised for their high-rolling-gamblers (apparently they fly these players in and let them play golf and watch fireworks in return for 'investing' a significant amount of money at the casino).

It was a really fun afternoon where we ate food, played cricket in the park, fellowshipped with what turned out to be a fair few people (including some newbies!), and sat down to enjoy some fireworks later that night. Thank God some of us got the opportunity to share the Gospel with some of the new people too. I didn't get pictures of all the stuff before, but here are some of the group waiting for the fireworks to begin...

And then it began... Fifteen minutes of full-on-firework-action just above our heads. We were so close to the action that at times we thought the shells would drop on us! After going to Aussie Day and thinking - man I think I have grown out of fireworks, this had well and truly restored the interest ! It was clear that Burswood does it better. Here are some piccies...
